It is with a heavy heart that we have to let you all know that our fantastic comic GWYNFRYN WEST will be making his final appearances at the Weymouth Pavilion this week with the rescheduled performances of Rapunzel.
Gwyn has been a familiar face in the Weymouth Pantomimes for over 6 years and his cheeky-chappy persona and hilarious antics have made him immensely popular with our audiences who return to see the shows year-on-year.
Gwyn has decided that the time is right to explore new opportunities in the world of pantomime and although we are
devastated to see him go, Made to Measure Productions and Weymouth Pavilion are both fully supportive of Gwyn’s
chance to pursue new endeavours.
Gwyn said “I’ve had the best 6 (and a half!) years as part of the Weymouth Panto family, and although I’m excited to see what the future brings, I will miss the Pavilion, the casts, crew and Made to Measure family so much. I absolutely adore Weymouth – and even moved down here a few years ago! – so it was a very hard decision to make, but I know that Weymouth will continue to support the Pavilion and the pantomimes each year, and hopefully one day the stars will align and I can come back and have fun with
‘Mam’ on stage once again!”
Lee Redwood, Creative Director at Made to Measure Productions (and Gwyn’s ‘Mam’ for the past 6 years) said: “Gwyn and I have developed an unbreakable bond, both onstage and off, over the past 6 years. We have a fantastic partnership in the productions but have also become the very best of friends in our time working together – the atmosphere onstage is completely genuine and we really do have an absolute blast performing together. I personally wish Gwyn all the luck in the world and we are both determined to make this week’s performances the best ever to ensure he goes out with a BANG!”
So, this week is your LAST CHANCE to see Gwyn’s hilarious performance – we have tickets available to tonight’s ‘Grown-Ups Only’ performance and for the 2pm performances tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday.
Tickets are available by calling 01305 783 225 or by popping into the Box Office in person.
Please be aware that online booking is currently not available.
Tuesday 15th June
Following the Government announcement on Monday 14th June delaying the lifting of all Covid restrictions, we are now busy contacting show and events that are affected and working out if they are still able to go ahead with social distancing in place or finding new dates for those that wish to postpone.
